Delaney Belt experiences what it is like to be in a rollover car accident while fellow Northeast Community College students and Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Gina Jones look on.
Belt, of Shelby, was one of 157 Northeast students to take part in the College’s Sober in October event at the Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex recently. The Patrol’s rollover simulator was one of several activities during the 11th annual event. Students were also treated to food, beverages, t-shirts, and many giveaways including portable chargers for their mobile devices. The event is sponsored by the Northeast Student Activities Council, Alcohol and Other Drugs Committee and Healthy Hawks. (
