Crime and suspense novelist to read at Northeast's Visiting Writers Series

NORFOLK, NE - A critically acclaimed author of several crime and suspense novels will read from his work at an upcoming installment of the Visiting Writers Series at Northeast Community College. Sean Doolittle, Council Bluffs, IA, will read from his work on Wednesday, October 17, at 4 p.m. at Hawks Landing in the Northeast Student Center.

Doolittle’s books have received numerous honors, including 100 Best Books of 2001 by the editors of Amazon.com, the Gold Medal in the mystery category of ForeWord Magazine’s 2003 Book of the Year Award, the Barry Award, International Thriller Writers (ITW) Thriller Award and two Nebraska Book Award honor selections. His books have been translated into multiple languages, and two of his titles are in active film development in the United States and France. His short fiction has appeared in The Year’s Best Horror Stories, The Best American Mystery Stories and elsewhere.

Doolittle grew up on an acreage south of Lincoln and received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He currently lives in Council Bluffs, IA, with his family.

Doolittle’s forthcoming novel, Kill Monster, will be released in January 2019 as an Audible Original, with print and eBook editions following later in 2019 in the US and United Kingdom.
