Northeast welcomes new international students

Emina Hadzihusejnovic (center), Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, receives assistance from Linda Miller (right), accounting/business instructor, during international student orientation at Northeast Community College recently. Northeast’s orientation for international students resembles traditional college student orientation in many ways, with class registration, English and math placement exams and advisement as well as discussions about tuition, financial aid and American classroom culture. Twenty-eight new international students joined 41 returning students for the Fall 2018 semester. Northeast’s international students hail from 19 countries.
