Explore Northeast Day to be held at South Sioux City extended campus

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE - Prospective students are invited to attend a special event at the Northeast Community College South Sioux City extended campus later this month. Explore Northeast Day will be held Wednesday, June 27, from 4-7 p.m. at Northeast’s South Sioux City extended campus, 1001 College Way.

The event is specifically designed to help participants explore their career options through more than 20 programs of study, including welding, nurse aide, truck driving, business and others. Participants will tour the South Sioux City extended campus and meet with program advisors, financial aid representatives and student support services.

Dr. Cyndi Hanson, South Sioux City extended campus executive director, said Explore Northeast Day is a great opportunity for prospective students to explore the many career paths Northeast offers.

“We are excited to open our doors and welcome everyone in the community to come learn about the programs we have available to meet the workforce needs of today. We are proud to prepare students for high demand, high wage careers in a variety of ways, with options to complete in a few weeks, on weekends, one night a week or a daily schedule. We have many options to explore.”

Anyone interested in attending Northeast, as well as their parents, is invited to attend. Registration is not required.
