NORFOLK, NE - Alissa Kosch, Humphrey, is removed from the LifeNet medical helicopter by crew members Sherri Steffens, flight nurse, and Michael Anderson, flight paramedic and adjunct paramedic instructor at Northeast Community College, and her classmates during a Health and Wellness Summer Career Camp at Northeast recently.
Kosch and the four other high school students in her group, who are interested in careers in nursing, had the opportunity get an up close views of the helicopter and visit with crew members. It was one of several healthcare-related hands-on activities and sessions that were held during the two-day camp on Northeast’s Norfolk campus and at Faith Regional Health Services. The camp was partially funded with federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 funds administered through the Nebraska Department of Education, grant number V048A170027
