Record attendance at FFA Ag Education Contest

Adam Turpin (left) of Rock County High School, and Ethan Sattler, of Stuart High School, take an ag sales exam as part of the FFA Districts 3, 4 and 10 Career Development Event – Ag Education Contest Tuesday on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk.  A record number of students, nearly 1,500, from 45 area high schools participated in over 14 contests at the event, which has been held annually at Northeast for over 35 years. Most of the Northeast contests were state qualifying events, and winners will proceed to the state contest in early April at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Northeast agriculture, horticulture, electrical construction and control, electromechanical, veterinary technology and welding faculty and students hosted the day.
