Omaha Burke's Kelley signs with Northeast softball

NORFOLK, NE - A softball player from Omaha Burke High School has signed a letter of intent to play for Northeast Community College this fall.

Sydney Kelley played third base and catcher for the Bulldogs, where she hit for a .350 average and also served as team captain.

“We are overjoyed to have Sydney join the team next year,” said Iris Woodhead, Northeast coach. “She has tremendous softball IQ and a huge passion for the game. She has a bubbly personality but is ready to get to work when it’s time to work. She will be a great addition at third base for next year.”

Kelley plans to major in nursing while at Northeast.
