Students from Northeast Community College proudly represented the newly established Northeast HOSA Chapter at the Nebraska HOSA State Leadership Conference, held March 8–10, 2026, in Omaha.
Two student members, accompanied by a chapter advisor, joined hundreds of future healthcare professionals from across Nebraska for three days of leadership development, hands-on learning, and professional exploration. Conference sessions focused on healthcare concepts such as microbiology, cancer research, public health communication, diagnostic problem-solving, and teamwork, while also providing opportunities to network with colleges, employers, and healthcare organizations.
“The State Leadership Conference helped our students build confidence, strengthen teamwork skills, and gain insight into real-world healthcare careers,” said Tina Mazuch one of the Northeast HOSA chapter co-advisors. “This experience was especially important as our Northeast HOSA chapter continues to grow.”
This academic year marked the first year of development for the Northeast HOSA Chapter, with students from multiple healthcare-related programs expressing interest and becoming involved. Participation in both the Fall Leadership Conference and the State Leadership Conference provided a strong foundation for future leadership and service opportunities.
