O’NEILL, Neb. — The O’Neill Extended Campus is offering two courses that begin in late February designed to meet regional workforce and professional development needs.

Medication Aide

This course prepares students to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and to perform medication administration duties in assisted living or nursing facilities. Instruction covers medication administration procedures, basic pharmacology, regulations, drug classifications, documentation, and commonly used medications.
Upon completion, students are eligible to take the state‑administered written exam. Successful candidates will be placed on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry.

Farm and Ranch Welding

This course provides foundational welding skills for agricultural applications, emphasizing safe equipment use. Students receive instruction and hands‑on experience in oxyfuel welding and cutting, shielded metal arc welding, and gas metal arc (MIG) welding. Required supplies include protective welding gear. Textbooks are available through the O’Neill Extended Campus (ISBN 2901936‑058067 and 9781936‑058006).
