Northeast Community College faculty and staff members were honored during the Spring Semester In-Service, including four who were recognized with awards from US Bank.
The honors took place on Wednesday, January 7, at the Lifelong Learning Center.
The US Bank Great Performer Awards annually honor Northeast employees who have been nominated by their peers for their outstanding contributions to the college. The awards have been presented by the bank, or its predecessor institutions, since 1993.
This year’s winners included two from extended campuses: Adjunct-Karen Hoffman of O’Neill; and Professional/Managerial-Kim Vanosdall of South Sioux City. The other two winners were from the Norfolk campus: Faculty-Chance Rohlk; and Classified Staff Association-Brian Headlee. Each of the winners will be featured in coming stories.
Tiffany Wietfeld, Norfolk main branch manager, presented the clock awards, along with $250 to each of the recipients.
Leah Barrett, Northeast president, thanked the recipients, especially for their dedication, inspiring work, passion to serve students and lasting impact on Northeast and its students.
Northeast employees also were honored for years of service, along with new hires and transfers. The employees honored for longevity had their years of service end in a five or a zero. Northeast celebrated those 61 employees who have given 945 years of service.
