A total of 517 contestants from 36 schools participated in the district livestock judging contest held at Northeast Community College on Wednesday, January 28.
The top 25% in the Junior and Senior divisions in each district qualifies for the State Livestock Evaluation contest in Lincoln in April. The Junior High Division is a district level contest only.
The following are the results:
District 3 Junior High
Individuals: 1. Gavin Johnson, West Point; 2. MacKenzie Steffen, West Point.
Teams: 1. Oakland-Craig team of Brody Ahrens, Blaise Hartwell, Rocco Peterson and Ansley Meyer; 2, West Point team of MacKenzie Steffen, Gavin Johnson, Kinzley Knievel and Carlie Stutzman.
District 3 Junior
Individuals: 1st Ali Ritter, West Point; 2. Melanie Korth, Blair.

District 3 Seniors

Judging Sheep
