DRIVER’S EDUCATION. This is a Provisional Operators Permit Driver Training course for individuals 14-17 years old. You will acquire the basic skills to operate a vehicle. Bring learner's or school permit to the first class. Twenty hours of classroom and at least six hours of driving are required. The book is provided for the class. AMERICAN RED CROSS BABYSITTER TRAINING. The purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide individuals ages 11 to 15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; safety and safe play; and first aid. You get the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children. Babysitter’s Training shows you how to: respond to emergencies and illnesses with first aid, rescue breathing and other appropriate care; make decisions under pressure; communicate with parents to learn household rules; recognize safety and hygiene issues; manage young children; and feed, diaper and care for infants. NURSE AIDE. This course is designed to meet the Nebraska Health and Human Services System training requirements for nurse aide certification and employment in long-term care facilities. This course combines classroom lecture and laboratory application for the development of basic skills needed to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the elderly or chronically ill patient of any age, in a long-term care facility. Upon completion of this course, you are eligible to take the state written and practical skills exam. After successfully passing this examination and completing the application procedure, your name will be placed on the basic nurse aide registry at the Nebraska Health and Human Services Regulation and Licensure, Credentialing Division.
