NORFOLK, Neb. -- The Region 11 Women's Championship match has been postponed from Saturday, Oct. 28, to Sunday, Oct. 29, at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Region 11 Men's Championship match starting no earlier than 3:30 p.m., also on Sunday.
Northeast Community College will play Iowa Central in the women’s championship, followed by Northeast playing Iowa Lakes in the men’s championship at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field.
Jerrett Mills, Northeast athletic director, said the matches were changed due to the impending wintry weather conditions on Saturday. As the men and women were both the top seeds in the tournament, Northeast has been able to host all its games during the Region 11 tournaments.
