NORFOLK, Neb. – Northeast Community College’s Chuck Pohlman Ag Complex was the place to be for children of all ages – and a few adults – for a Spooktacular costume-based event on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The 20th annual event attracted 2,048 people, many of whom were children in costumes accompanied by parents and friends.

Northeast clubs sponsored the games and booths that included a haunted house, pumpkin pickin’, cornhole, putt-putt golf, ring toss and more. Admission was free, but games required tickets, which could be purchased at the price of four for $1. All proceeds will go to student organizations. A concession stand featured hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and water.

With many student groups and others from the community supplying the candy, the event was just the treat to provide a sweet fix before Halloween officially comes creeping in next week.

The Spooktacular event was sponsored by the College Engagement Team, Student Activities Council and Northeast student clubs.
