Commencement Ceremony Information

Northeast Community College's Annual Commencement Ceremony will be held on May 12, 2023.
Further ceremony details will be released in the spring of 2023.

Military and Veteran students will have the privilege to wear a special recognition piece with their regalia. Please contact the Admissions and Registration Department to verify your service. Once verified, you will receive the recognition piece with your regalia packet in April.

Ready to Submit. What Happens Next?

Before you submit you application for graduation, please read the following and understand the next steps in the process. Further action by you may be required by you.

  1. Your application will be reviewed for accuracy. If any information is missing or inaccurate, your application will be returned to the Preferred email address* listed in your My Northeast account.
  2. Your application will go through a series of processing steps.
  3. After processing, your name will be added to our list of “Tentative Graduates”. As a tentative graduate, you will have a “Graduate” hold placed on your account. If you plan to return to Northeast to pursue another degree, diploma, or certificate in a future term, please contact the Admissions and Registration Department Office to update your application and remove your graduation hold. You will need to complete this step before being able to register in any future terms.
  4. You will be considered a "Tentative Graduate" until our end of term processing and the final graduation checks have been completed.
  5. Expect your diploma to arrive by September 30, 2022. Diplomas will be mailed to the Permanent Address listed in your My Northeast account. They will be sent via U.S. Postal Service in mailers that may not fit into conventional mail receptacles.

    If you have not received your diploma or certificate by the expected arrival time noted above, please follow these steps:

    1. Confirm your award on your transcript (available in your My Northeast account).
    2. Contact your local Post Office.
    3. Contact the Admissions and Registration Department within 30 days of the arrival time noted above.

    NOTE: Official verification for any award will be noted on your transcript.


*Any email correspondence we initiate will be sent to your preferred email address as listed in your My Northeast account. Please make sure to keep this address current. (Login to your My Northeast account, click on the Personal Information tab, and then View/Update Email Addresses.)
