The following are scholarship sponsorships awarded by businesses or organizations. Each of these scholarships requires a separate application form and deadlines may vary. Avera’s mission is to make a positive impact in the lives and health of persons and communities by providing quality services guided by Christian values.
- Sponsorship of up to $30,000 for students while enrolled with funds paid directly to Northeast.
- Eligible students can receive up to $10,000 through the Student Loan Repayment Program.
Qualifications:
- Three-year work commitment in a Nebraska hospital or long-term care facility (Creighton or O’Neill, NE).
- Enrollment in an LPN or RN program.
- Offer expires December 31, 2025.
Boys Town
Boys Town is partnering with Northeast to offer two educational loans per year for students enrolled in the Nursing program in the amount of $2,000 each.
Qualifications:
- Student must sign an agreement to work a minimum of 12-months post-graduation.
- Student must be enrolled Full-Time in the Nursing Program.
- Student must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA (incoming Freshman) or 3.0 GPA (Sophomore).

- Transcript with GPA

- 2 Letters of Recommendation

Franciscan Healthcare – Nursing
The Educational Assistance Program through Franciscan Healthcare includes the following:
- Paid tuition, books, and fees
- Employment at Franciscan Healthcare
Qualifications:
- Enrolled at Northeast Community College and accepted to the Northeast Nursing Program as a Practical Nursing Diploma student or in the Associate Degree in Nursing program
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and show academic promise
- Pass background check
- Required to accept gainful employment at Franciscan Health Care

- Must be a graduating senior from South Sioux City High School
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale
- Accepted to or enrolled at Northeast Community College at the South Sioux City Extended Campus pursing an associate degree
