Free Summer Tuition Program
Tuition assistance is available to anyone who registers for credit classes at Northeast this summer. This includes high school students who want to get ahead, current students or students from other colleges who want to transfer credits.
Northeast's summer sessions begin May 24, June 7, and July 12. Four-week, eight-week, and 12-week sessions are available.
To Take Advantage Of Free Summer Tuition:
- Apply to Northeast Community College. If you have not taken classes with Northeast for more than a year, you will need to apply.

Northeast will assess the tuition charges to your student account and then apply a tuition waiver (only credit courses are eligible for the tuition waiver) to offset the cost of tuition for credit courses. Students will be responsible for fees and textbook/supplies.
No. Once you register, your account will be reviewed, and the necessary adjustments will be made to your balance due. If additional information is needed from you, Northeast will reach out.
Only credit courses are eligible for the tuition waiver.
All students are eligible for financial assistance for credit courses they attend in the Summer 2021 term which includes courses starting in May, June, or July.
To qualify for a tuition waiver a student has to be meeting Financial Aid Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress and be lawfully present in the United States.
Verification of lawful presence means that the student is:
- A United States Citizen
- Student is a qualified alien under the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act
- Student is an international student and has a F1 Visa
Yes. Students registering for a summer Nurse Aide or Med Aide course only need to pay the associated fees upfront.
Yes. Anyone who attends Northeast this summer will receive tuition assistance. This includes high school students who want to get ahead and take college credit classes. We have class sessions beginning May 24, June 7, and July 5 – available in 4-week, 8-week, and 12-week sessions. Students can begin by applying to Northeast and then registering for summer classes.
