What You'll Learn as an Apprentice
- Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions
- Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
- Select production equipment according to product specifications
- Determine metal or plastic production methods
- Operate grinding equipment
- Heat material or workpieces to prepare for or complete production
- Reshape metal workpieces to established specifications
Courses follow a traditional college semester schedule and are offered in-person at the Norfolk and South Sioux City campuses. Classes are typically Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Average Starting Wage: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
