Music - Education

Degrees and Programs

If Music Education is your choice, you can take the first two years of classes at Northeast and then transfer your credits to a four-year college or university. Emphasis is on public school music teaching. All music concentrations will learn computerized composition. Music lessons are available on a variety of instruments, as well as voice. All Northeast students can audition for our vocal and instrumental performance groups. The touring groups perform at over 30 high schools. We also host a regional jazz competition every year. Scholarships are available for participation in music as well.

After successful completion of the Music Education concentration, you may transfer to a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year institution.
