Application and Eligibility

To be eligible for scholarship funding, you must complete the Northeast Community College Scholarship Application and have a current application on file with the admissions office.

The link to the Northeast Community College scholarship application is located on the Financial Aid Links Card in your My Northeast. Students can begin submitting October 1st each year, for next academic year. Refer to our Scholarship webpage for important application deadline dates.

Scholarships

Barbara Lynch, Larry Holland, & Robert Hupp Non-Trad Student Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. First preference given to students must be enrolled in English, History, or Biology.
2. Second preference given to students in all other programs of study.
3. Student must be a non-traditional student over 21 years of age.
4. Preference given to students with past military service.
5. Students must be enrolled at least full time.
6. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Breana Lynn Beckmann Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Early Childhood Education.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

DKG TeacHER Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Education programs.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must express interest in transferring to a four-year institution.
4. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
5. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Dr. Allen P. & Gertrude W. Burkhardt Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in any transfer program.
2. Students must be residents of Northeast Nebraska.
3. Students must be in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Dr. Patrick Keating Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Art, English, or Liberal Art programs.
2. Students must be enrolled at least full time.
3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
4. Students must show financial need.

Early Childhood Education Club Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Early Childhood Education.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must be in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Floyd Cyrus Murphy Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Education.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Frank, Maxine, & Joel McIntyre Family Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in an AA Education program.
2. Preference given to students that are interested in transferring to Wayne State College.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Gilbert Hueftle Criminal Justice Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Criminal Justice Corrections.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Ken & Anne Echtenkamp Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in a program within the Humanities Division.
2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
4. Students must show financial need.

Lavon Neuhaus Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Education programs.
2. Students must be sophomores.
3. Preference given to students within the 18-24 age range.
4. Students must have an ACT score of 18 or higher.
5. Students must be residents of Northeast Community College 20 County service area.
6. Students must be enrolled full time.
7. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
8. Students must not be Pell Grant eligible.

Lela Huffman Murphy Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Education.
2. Students must be sophomores.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Leo Hegr Law Enforcement Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Criminal Justice.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. First preference is given to students that are residents of Madison County
4. Second preference is given to students that are residents of Northeast Community College 20 county area.
5. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
6. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
7. Students must show financial need.

Mary Hughes Dederman Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Elementary Education.
2. Students must be of sophomore status.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.

Paul R. Rohrke Scholarship

Qualifications:

1. Students must be enrolled in Education.
2. Students must be at sophomore status.
3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
5. Students must show financial need.
