Application and Eligibility

To be eligible for scholarship funding, you must complete the Northeast Community College Scholarship Application and have a current application on file with the admissions office.

The link to the Northeast Community College scholarship application is located on the Financial Aid Links Card in your My Northeast. Students can begin submitting October 1st each year, for next academic year. Refer to our Scholarship webpage for important application deadline dates.

American Legion Past Presidents Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing-Practical.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Angie Bennett Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN).
  2. First preference given to non-traditional students.
  3. Students must be enrolled full time for nursing program.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  5. Students must show financial need.

Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. First preference to students in health-related fields.
  2. Second preference to any program.
  3. First preference given to employees, spouses of employees, or dependents of employees of Avera St. Anthony’s.
  4. Second preference to students from O’Neill area or all of Holt County.
  5. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  6. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  7. Students must show financial need.

Barbara Lee Nielsen Nursing Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing program (ADN or PN).
  2. Students must be residents of Nebraska.
  3. First preference to students that are enrolled full-time.
  4. Second preference given to students that are enrolled in at least six credits.
  5. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  6. Students must show financial need.

Craig M. & Lori A. Cook Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in trade industry programs, nursing (ADN), or Nursing Practical programs.
  2. First preference given to students that reside in Northeast Community College 20 county service area.
  3. Second preference is given to students that are Nebraska residents.
  4. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  5. Students must have a GPA 2.5 or higher.

Dallas & Lorraine Hoff Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Practical.
  2. First preference given to non-traditional or single parents.
  3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Don Pfeil Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in a field of study related to Health Services or in Veterinary Technology, Pre-Veterinary Technology, Biology, or any Pre-Professional Health programs.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Donald Liedman & Dorrine Liedman Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Pre-Professional, Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. First preference given to students who have completed one semester of the nursing program.
  3. Preference given to non-traditional students.
  4. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  5. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  6. Students must show financial need.

Donna & John Goossen Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled full time.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Dorrine Liedman Scholarship & Equipment Fund Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be in Pre-Professional Nursing, Pre-Professional Nursing UNMC Transfer, Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Dr. Allen P. & Gertrude W. Burkhardt Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in any transfer program.
  2. Students must be residents of Northeast Nebraska.
  3. Students must be in at least six credits.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  5. Students must show financial need.

Eleanor Fuhrman Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Elgin Bargain Box Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical, or Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Emergency Medical Services Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in a Paramedic program or Emergency Medical Technician courses.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

EMS Medical Director Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. First preference given to students enrolled in Paramedic Program.
  2. Second preference given to students enrolled in Emergency Medical Technician courses.
  3. First preference given to freshman.
  4. Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
  5. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

First National Bank Endowed Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical or Nursing (ADN) programs.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Greg Weidner Memorial / Greg & Karen Weidner Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Agriculture, Accounting, Practical Nursing, Nursing (ADN), or Utility Line.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Health Information Management Club Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Health Information Management Systems.
  2. Preference given to sophomores.
  3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Students must show financial need.

Jacque Houska PTA Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Physical Therapist Assistant.
  2. Students must be at sophomore status.
  3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Students must show financial need.

Jagmohan Desai & Family Endowed Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in any Health Science Field of Study program.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

James F. Manning & Rosemarie Weller Manning Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing Practical, Nursing (ADN), or Life Science.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Jerri L. Kumm Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in the Health Sciences Field of Study.
  2. First preference giving to Practical Nursing or Nursing ADN students.
  3. First preference given to graduates Stanton High School.
  4. Second preference given to residents of Stanton.
  5. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  6. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  7. Financial aid is preferred but not required.

Laura Nel Carlisle Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN).
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Lora J. Rohrich Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Practical.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Mahlon B. Kohler Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN), Nursing Practical, or Optometry.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Marvin D. Hall PTA Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Missionary Benedictine Sisters Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. First preference given to students enrolled in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Practical.
  2. Second preference given to students in all other programs.
  3. Students must be a resident of Nebraska or its surrounding states.
  4. Students must be single parents.
  5. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  6. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  7. Students must show financial need.

Northeast Nebraska Medical Association Alliance Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Medical Field.
  2. Students must be enrolled full time.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Students must show financial need.

Northeast Nursing Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Peter Kiewit Foundation Annual Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in a STEM program or vocational/CTE degree, diploma, or certificate program for a STEM occupation that pays at or above median wage within the region.
  2. Students must be residents of Nebraska.
  3. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester.
  4. Students must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  5. Students must show financial need.

Richard Chaffin Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  2. Students must be enrolled full time.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

S. Johnson Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. First preference given to students enrolled in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing-Practical.
  2. Second preference given to students enrolled in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  3. Students must be sophomores.
  4. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  5. Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Sharon Grunke Memorial Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Practical programs.
  2. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

West Holt Medical Services Foundation Scholarship

Qualifications:

  1. Students must be enrolled in Nursing (ADN), Nursing Practical programs, Health Information Management Systems, Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Surgical tech, or Radiologic tech.
  2. Students must be residents of Holt, Rock, or Boyd counties in Nebraska.
  3. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits.
  4. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
