Northeast Community College events and activities and those hosted at any of the college's locations may be affected as a result of Northeast's response to COVID-19. Please check our recent announcements for the latest information.

  • Northeast Community College plans to hold in-person classes in Fall 2021

  • Admissions and Registration

    The Admissions and Registration Office in the College Welcome Center has reopened, with staff working on a rotating basis. The office is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are struggling in a course, please talk with your instructor or advisor about support options that may be available to help you complete the course successfully. If you decide to drop a course prior to the last day to withdraw, you can stop in the office and fill out a drop form or you can submit the request via email. To drop a course via email, send an email from your preferred email address (that you have on file with Northeast) to The email should include your name, student ID, course name, and course registration number (CRN), along with a statement that you would like to drop or withdraw from the noted course(s) and why. You can also download a drop form, complete the form, and then scan the signed form or take a picture of the form and email the it from your preferred email address. To request an official copy of your Northeast Community College transcript, you can either stop in the office and fill out a Transcript Request Form or download the form and email the scanned copy or a picture of the form from your preferred email address to If you cannot print the form, send an email from your preferred email address with your name, ID, and the name and address of the place you want the transcript sent.   • Financial Aid Office

    The Northeast Financial Aid Office, located in the College Welcome Center, is now open with limited staff in the office from 8 am to 5 pm. We are dedicated to answering your questions and assisting you with your financial aid and will be available to assist you in person and remotely at this time.

    If you need assistance in completing your FAFSA please email or call the Financial Aid Office at 402-844-7285, and we will schedule an appointment to assist you with the FAFSA in person or remotely at a date and time that is most convenient for you.

  • Adult Education Department

    For the safety of our staff and students, the Northeast Adult Education Department will be conducting all classes remotely. Please contact your current instructor or the Adult Education Department at 402-844-7253 or send an email to for guidance on learning opportunities available.   • Academic Support

    For the safety of our staff and students, the Northeast Academic Support Center will be conducting all tutoring, writing center, and supplemental instruction online using Zoom. If you would like to request a tutor or need the Zoom link to any tutoring, please send a email to or you may call 402-844-7125. Due to the increased volume of calls please leave a message and your call will be returned.

    You may also get additional information on requesting a tutor, scheduling writing center appointments, and Zoom drop-in times by visiting Academic Support.

  • TRIO Staffing Plan

    TRIO Advisors and staff are working both remotely and on campus to support you. You may call their office phone, text, or email them, and they will respond. On alternating weeks, half of the TRIO Advisors and staff will be working in their offices on campus. If you would like to meet in person, we ask that you contact our Administrative Assistant at 402-844-7738, or your TRIO Advisor to schedule an appointment prior to coming in so that a meeting space may be designated and reserved to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.   • Disability Services

    A message for our students: Due to ongoing concerns of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the office of Disability Services will be serving students and providing quality support services remotely. We will continue to provide all services via phone, email, and zoom (video conferencing) until further notice.   • Northeast Service Center

    The Service Center is only available via email at or phone 402-844-HELP: Sunday 1pm-6pm, Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm, and Friday 7am-5pm. The Service Center Desk on campus will be open to students and employees only: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, and Friday 8am-5pm.

    You may be nervous conducting a job search in an uncertain economy or have lost a job or internship offer. Career Services staff can help you with these and other career concerns. We are happy to help!

  • Counseling-Services

    Limited telemental health counseling is available to students via face-to-face video conferencing. This service is available to students who are screened as being appropriate for this form of counseling. If you have never had a counseling appointment with Northeast’s counselor call (402) 844-7277 for a phone consultation. If you have previously met with the counselor, email or call to schedule an appointment.

    Northeast Community College stands with everyone in grief and sorrow over the ongoing and most recent violent attacks on individuals and communities. This race-based aggression adds to the already overwhelming stress of the current pandemic. The legacies of slavery and institutionalized racism are visible as well in the stark disparities we are seeing in illness, health outcomes, and the employment impact from COVID-19. While experiencing or witnessing trauma affects us all, we recognize the particular impact these events may have on the mental health and well-being of our students and colleagues. Know that you are not alone in this struggle. As a mental health service, Northeast's Counseling Services Office is committed to affirming and providing care for all of our students who have been directly or vicariously impacted by trauma.   • Health and Wellness

    If you are in the Norfolk area, you can continue to contact the Student Health Nurse at (402) 844-7176 during the following hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. After hours or during the weekend, please call Faith Regional Urgent Care at (402) 844-8301 and explain you are a Northeast Community College student (office visit charges may apply). Please note, you must call in advance. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the nurse is not currently seeing students without an appointment.
  • Northeast Testing Center

    The Testing Center is located in the College Welcome Center has re-opened for business. We are administering exams on campus. The testing hours on the Norfolk campus are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, and Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Remote Testing offered Monday through Thursday at 8:00 am or 12:00 pm and Friday at 9:00 am.

    All exams will be offered Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. MAP, ASE, ATI TEAS, and Critical Thinking exams will be administered on Wednesday and Thursday.
