Job Description:

Provides general nursing care to patients during the pre-op, intra-op, and post operative period during a patients surgical experience. Manages the non-sterile field and observes the sterile field during a surgical procedure. Responsible for a safe recovery and arousal of the patient from the effects of anesthesia and observing for any potential post surgical complications.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nebraska • Knowledge of sterile technique and its application • Knowledge of cautery equipment and audio visual equipment • Knowledge of aseptic technique • Must be able to take call and respond within 30 minutes • Basic Life Support (BLS) • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) • Previous operating room experience preferred
