Job Requirements

Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Technical training in Institutional Cooking preferred. Prefer 1-4 years’ experience in hospital or restaurant setting. Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize and coordinate duties as assigned. Effective communicator with self-motivation and a positive attitude maintained throughout. Must be a self-starter, decision-maker and team player able to maintain productivity. Must have appropriate hygiene according to state and federal regulations. Ability to apply knowledge of patient rights, safety rights, safety practices, infection control principles, and risk management issues. Ability to follow policies and procedures of department and hospital. Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. Serve on committees and assist with programs of the hospital to constantly improve the quality of health care and promote good public relations. Ability to work in a timely manner, within the time allotted for the shift per census count.
