Career Planning

Helping you make career decisions

Choosing a career is a process that takes self-knowledge, occupational information, and good decision-making skills. We offer many opportunities for career planning and exploration. We have a one-credit hour Career Planning course that includes assessment, career research, and activities to help you make short-term and long-term career decisions.

You may also seek career guidance by visiting with an advisor in the Advising Center or Career Services to determine the necessary steps for planning and achieving their career goals. Advisors use free career assessments, such as MyMajors and TypeFocus, to help students make career decisions based on interests, abilities, values, and personality.
