Faculty-led Travel Opportunity | May 2019

Northeast students visiting the Parthenon in Greece.

Fourteen students explored the historical, political, and artistic roots of Western Civilization on their travels to Greece. The travel experience, led by Northeast faculty Adam Peterson and Paul Muncy, was the culmination of a semester-long class that explored how Greece influences our world today – from our government to our theatre to our language.

Students visited famous sites such as Athens' Parthenon, the Oracle at Delphi, the Olympic Museum at Olympia, and several historical and archeological museums. They traveled by plane, bus, and ferry - all in a journey to discover the mysteries of ancient Greece civilization!
