    Northeast students earn over 50 medals at SkillsUSA

    GRAND ISLAND, NE – Northeast Community College students captured a combined 51 medals in a competition that showcases the best career and technical education students in Nebraska. Northeast crowned 17 state champions and swept the competition in two categories, while students in two other categories finished first and second at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference held recently at the Heartland Events Center and Fonner Park in Grand Island.

    Dickau named 2019 New Century Workforce Pathway Scholar

    JACKSON, MS – A Northeast Community College student has earned national recognition. Preston Dickau, Atkinson, has been named a 2019 New Century Workforce Pathway Scholar and will receive $1,250 in scholarship funding.

    1,100 students participate in scholastic contest & quiz bowl

Wakefield Community School was second and Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington placed third. In the Class D contest, Wausa Public School claimed first-place honors. Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools was second followed by a tie for third between Plainview High School and Rock County High School.
