    by amandab  12/7/2016 8:36:11 AM --  NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team defeated York College JV here Tuesday night--and also sent birthday wishes to a special fan. The Hawks came out strong, going on a 20-2 run and pushing the final score to 132-75.

    NORFOLK - A Norfolk woman has been honored for her achievements in the advancement of agriculture. Susan Risinger Green was presented the Award of Merit at the Eighth Annual AG-ceptional Women’s Conference recently at Northeast Community College. She was surprised with the honor by conference organizers.

  • Northeast holds 32nd Annual Livestock Classic

    NORFOLK – Four hundred fifty-two head of livestock were shown during the 32nd Annual Northeast Community College Livestock Classic held over the Thanksgiving Day weekend here. Mike Roeber, Northeast agriculture/livestock judging instructor and event organizer, said exhibitors from five states (Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and Nebraska) took part in the two-day event at the Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex.

    NORFOLK – Students in the audio recording technology department at Northeast Community College are providing their own version of holiday cheer this season. They are in the process of selling an album of holiday musical selections performed by local and area artists.

    NORFOLK - The music department at Northeast Community College invites everyone to get in the holiday spirit with a concert to be held in December. The Northeast Community College Holiday Concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Sunday, December 4, at 2 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Norfolk campus.

    William Trowbridge, the past poet laureate for the state of Missouri, reads from his works at Northeast Community College. Trowbridge, Kansas City, MO, was joined by Zach Drees, Wayne, during the College’s final Visiting Writers Series event of the semester.

    NORFOLK - The Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Club at Northeast Community College has introduced a new series of business-focused talks that are open to all Northeast students. “PBL Presents - Hawk Talks” is a new, recurring series of presentations on various business topics that will be held at Northeast throughout the academic year.

The public is invited to the free student reading on Wednesday, December 7, at 7 p.m. in the Northeast Community College Library Resource Center on the Norfolk campus.

  • Hawks fall in final seconds against NDSCS

    NORFOLK - Despite a 15-point lead in the first half, the Northeast Community College men's basketball team fell to North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) here Saturday. Final score was 90-88.
