    Simulator replicates real world for truck driving students

    NORFOLK, NE – During the past 15 years, the trucking industry has struggled with a shortage of drivers. While the American Trucking Associations reports the driver shortfall is expected to fall slightly by the end of 2019 from a combination of slower economic growth and a small bump in supply, the combination of a tight labor market and an aging truck driver population is expected to keep the shortage near its peak in 2018.

    Nexus campaign receives $250,000 contribution from CVA

    by jamesc  9/18/2019 5:45:29 PM --  NORFOLK, NE - One of the Midwest’s largest farmer-owned cooperatives has announced a donation to the Nexus campaign to improve agriculture facilities at Northeast Community College. Central Valley Ag (CVA) President and CEO Carl Dickinson said the cooperative board of directors has approved a $250,000 investment in the Agriculture and Water Center of Excellence at Northeast.

    No increase in Northeast tax levy to support 2019-20 budget

    Harvey to step down from Board of Governors

    NORFOLK, NE – A longtime member of the Northeast Community College of Board of Governors has announced his resignation. Keith Harvey, Creighton, submitted his letter of resignation during the board’s monthly meeting in Norfolk on Thursday.

    Northeast observes Patriot Day with a day of service

    Midwest Bank joins Ag & Water campaign with $250,000 contribution

    Over 200 students attend part-time job fair

    NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College students interested in part-time employment had the opportunity to visit with potential employers recently. Northeast’s Career Service Office hosted its annual Part-Time Job Fair in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

    Poet Sanders to read at Visiting Writers event

    Northeast working with Nebraska Supreme Court on interpreter training

    NORFOLK, NE – In an effort to increase the number of interpreters to work in courtrooms across the state, Northeast Community College is partnering with the Nebraska Supreme Court to offer training to certify individuals to help alleviate the shortage.
