  • Northeast joins Mopar CAP LOCAL to train next generation of dealership technicians

    by jamesc  10/19/2016 2:35:34 PM --  NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College will participate in an initiative to train individuals to earn industry certification to service vehicles in Chrysler auto dealerships. The program, through Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US LLC, is designed to develop a critical stream of highly-trained technicians to work in its U.S. dealerships. Northeast, through its automotive technology program, is one of 42 colleges to be added to FCA’s growing network of certified technical training sites.

  • Poessnecker recognized for his service to Northeast

He was recognized with a plaque at a luncheon Thursday that included members of Northeast’s board of governors and foundation board and others, for his 27-years of service to the College.

The Omaha Slam Team and the Nebraska Writers Collective will perform on Monday, October 24, at 4 p.m. in the Cox Activities Centre. Poets read or recite original work at poetry slams.

  • Bellevue tops team honors at Nebraska Intercollegiate

    by jamesc  10/10/2016 9:25:21 AM --  NORFOLK - Bellevue University won the Nebraska Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Norfolk Country Club here Friday and Saturday. The Bruins finished with a two-day total of 594, five strokes in front of Midland University. Southeast Community College, the clubhouse leader after day one, finished third with a two-day total of 601.

  • Northeast hosts cyber security summit

    by jamesc  10/7/2016 9:39:47 AM --  NORFOLK – High school students were given the names “Legion of Doom” and “Anonymous,” among others, as they checked in for a special program through Northeast Community College’s information technology (IT) department. The sixty-four students from fourteen area high schools took part in the College’s first “Cyber Security and Software Development Summit” in the program’s Echtenkamp building here Wednesday.

  • Creative Poetry students to read their works

  • Northeast golf ties for second at Southeast Fall Invitational

    by amandab  10/4/2016 8:36:45 AM --  BEATRICE - The Northeast Community College golf team tied for second place at the Southeast Community College Fall Invitational played here today at the Beatrice Country Club. In windy conditions, Northeast's black team totaled a 330 for a second place tie with Hastings College's red team in the seven team tournament. Southeast took first with a team total of 305.
