Now, college officials are working on a new endeavor, as part of its Vision 2020 five-year strategic plan, that will not only allow its students to reap its benefits, but the state, nation and world as well.

The twenty-one students from the Class of 2016 took part in a Recognition Ceremony before family, friends and faculty recently in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Norfolk campus.

Eight young women entering their sophomore, junior and senior years of high school had the opportunity to explore a variety of programs offered by the College that are traditionally pursued by men.

  • Helena trains employees, interns on its plot at Northeast

Nate Schroeder, seed sales manager for Helena Chemical Company, said this was the growing season’s main product training for the company’s retail salespeople, precision agriculture technicians and interns.

  • Northeast student earns Rees Scholarship for HVACR training

At its monthly meeting here Thursday, College administrators provided the board with an update on first year accomplishments through Vision 2020.

  • Northeast trains technicians for cool careers

    by jamesc  7/7/2016 9:50:54 AM --  NORFOLK – In a normal summer, the Norfolk area experiences an average of 32 days when the temperature reaches at least 90 degrees. So far in 2016, that has occurred ten times. With approximately three more months of warm weather in the region, many people will count on the work of technicians to make sure the air inside homes and businesses stays at comfortable levels.

  • Northeast Drafting program adds new concentration

Structural Drafting will be offered as a concentration in the Associate of Applied Arts (AAS) in Drafting program beginning this fall. It joins Architectural and Industrial Facility drafting as concentrations offered by Northeast’s Drafting AAS program.

  • Northeast's Helena Acre partnership kicks off planting season

    by amandab  5/27/2016 9:21:32 AM --  NORFOLK - Northeast Community College kicked off planting season recently with help from a long-standing partnership with Helena Chemical Company. After several rain delays, a team consisting of Helena representatives and Northeast Agriculture faculty and administrators were eager to begin work on the 40A field at Northeast’s College Farm as part of the Helena Acre partnership.
