    Students participate in Etiquette Dinner

    NORFOLK, NE – You may not have two spoons, two knives and three forks at each place setting at your dinner table at home on any given evening, but knowing how and when to use those extra utensils during a formal dinner occasion could avoid an embarrassing scene when trying to make an impression on others. Approximately 80 students and others at Northeast Community College had the opportunity to put their formal social skills to use during an etiquette dinner at the College’s Lifelong Learning Center recently.

    Court Interpreters to begin training through Northeast

    NORFOLK, NE – Approximately twenty individuals have expressed a serious interest in using their language skills to assist others through Nebraska’s judicial branch. They were approximately 40 people to attend an information session recently at Northeast Community College in Norfolk and at its extended campus in South Sioux City to learn more about a certified court interpreter preparation and certification program, sponsored through a partnership between the College and the Nebraska Supreme Court.

    Over 200 students attend part-time job fair

    NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College students interested in part-time employment had the opportunity to visit with potential employers recently. Northeast’s Career Service Office hosted its annual Part-Time Job Fair in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

    Record number of students enroll in Fridays @ Northeast

At the beginning of the current academic year, over 100 high school seniors are taking part in the program.

    Northeast to host part-time job fair August 27

The college’s Career Services Office will host its annual Part-Time Job Fair on Tuesday, August 27, from 3-5 p.m., in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

    Northeast partners with Tyson on Upward Academy

Tyson Foods has brought its Upward Academy program to its fresh meats beef plant in Dakota City, Nebraska.

    Area employers expected to take part in Northeast Spring Career Fair

    NORFOLK, NE - The Spring Career Fair at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, open to all Northeast students and alumni, will attract a large number of employers again this year. Representatives from approximately 90 companies, agencies and organizations will take part in the event on Wednesday, March 13, from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Cox Activities Center gymnasium.
