    COLUMBUS, NE - The Northeast Community College volleyball team struggled on the first day of the Central Community College tournament here Friday. They fell to Cowley County Community College in three sets (25-14, 25-23, 25-11) and were unable to overcome Bismarck State College in five sets, winning the first and fourth (26-24, 25-21) and dropping the second, third and fifth (25-23, 25-19, 15-11).

    NORFOLK, NE – Two Nebraska poets will be featured during the next Visiting Writers Series at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Barbara Schmitz and Michael Catherwood will read their works on Wednesday, October 18, at 4 p.m., in Hawks Landing in the Northeast Student Center.
