NORFOLK, NE - Delaney Dickens, Omaha, (right) was one the many students, faculty and staff at Northeast Community College in Norfolk who took time Monday to write special notes to remember those who have or are currently serving in the military as part of a Veterans Day observance.

Notes will go to current military students at Northeast, others will be taken across the street to members of the Norfolk Veterans Home, while the rest will be sent to Operation Gratitude, an organization that distributes notes and cards to men and women in uniform, both domestically and across the world. The day was sponsored by Northeast and Bellevue University.
