Northeast to host part-time job fair August 27

NORFOLK, NE – Local employers who are looking to fill part-time employment positions can look no further than Northeast Community College. The college’s Career Services Office will host its annual Part-Time Job Fair on Tuesday, August 27, from 3-5 p.m., in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

Norfolk area employers will be available to visit with Northeast students regarding part-time employment opportunities during the 2019-20 academic year.

There is no registration charge to employers. Employers are encouraged to register for the event by August 13 through the website northeast.edu/Career-Services. Or they may register by calling Terri Heggemeyer, director of career services, at (402) 844-7263. Space is limited.

“This event is a great way to connect employers and students in one location,” Heggemeyer said. “It’s an opportunity for employers to find part-time employees to fill their open positions. This particular job fair brings together local businesses and our students to help the businesses meet their needs and positively impact the local economy.”

Heggemeyer said Northeast Community College alumni are also welcome to attend the Part-Time Job Fair. In addition, if an employer is unable to attend on August 27, she encourages them to post their jobs on the Career Services’ Office Job Board.

“The Job Board is easy to use and it is viewed by current students and alumni.”

There is no charge to post employment positions on the Northeast Job Board.
