Students take time to "paws" and relax during Northeast's finals week

NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College student Halle Wiese, Norfolk, takes a break from her finals to pet Katie, a golden retriever who is trained as a comfort dog, on the College’s Norfolk campus recently.

Katie serves with Lutheran Church Charities’ K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, a national human-care ministry that embraces the calming nature and skills of purebred golden retrievers. Katie was one of two dogs available to interact with students during finals week at Northeast. The event was hosted by Northeast’s CARE (Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation) team.
