Trowbridge to speak at Northeast Visiting Writers event

NORFOLK, NE – A Missouri poet will be featured during the next Visiting Writers Series at Northeast Community College. William Trowbridge will read from his work on Wednesday, March 20, at 4 p.m., in the College Welcome Center, Room 1108-B, on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

His seventh poetry collection, Vanishing Point, was published by Red Hen Press in April 2017. Trowbridge’s eighth collection, a greatly expanded collection of the poems in 2016’s Red Hen graphic chapbook Oldguy: Superhero, will be published this September.

Trowbridge is a faculty mentor in the University of Nebraska Omaha Low-Residency MFA in Writing Program. He also served as the Poet Laureate of Missouri from 2012-2016. To learn more about his work, go online to www.williamtrowbridge.net.
