Jazzy's offers convenience to Northeast students

NORFOLK, NE – There is a place on the Norfolk campus of Northeast Community College for anyone to pick up a few snacks or even some gear to wear to class or to a game to cheer on the College’s athletic teams. Jazzy’s Corner Store is located adjacent to the Hawk Points dining area on the northern end of campus.

Kurt Kohler, dean of student life and athletics, said the store truly provides a convenience to students.

“Jazzy’s is designed to give our students an opportunity to get snacks, some hygiene products or some of the Northeast gear that we sell up in our Hawks Shop (bookstore). It really serves as a convenience, especially if they can’t get off campus.”

The name of the store is derived from the name of the Northeast Hawks mascot.

Chartwells, Northeast’s foodservice provider, operates the store, which is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.-12 a.m., and Friday-Sunday from 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m.
