Wemhoff, a freshman from Columbus, played an important role in Northeast’s win last week to move the Hawks on to the semi-finals of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XI Tournament. Last week against Hawkeye Community College, Wemhoff allowed one goal in a 2-1 victory, while saving six shots. She has started all but one game this season, racking up 1,390 total minutes played.

On the year, Wemhoff is ranked in the top 30 nationally for her save percentage (83.9%) and is first in the conference in wins (12).

Fourth-ranked Northeast (12-5-1 overall, 6-3 in conference) will face #1 Iowa Western Community College (10-5 overall, 8-0 in conference) today (Wednesday) in Council Bluffs, IA, at 2 p.m.
