Motivational speaker to give presentation on self-marketing at Northeast

NORFOLK, NE - An award-winning author, sales consultant and motivational speaker will give a presentation on self-marketing at Northeast Community College soon. “Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Presents: Hawk Talks” will feature Jeff Beals, Omaha, on Tuesday, September 19, at 10 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center on the College’s Norfolk campus. The event is free and open to the public.

“Self-Marketing Power” is Beals’s most popular presentation and is based on his award-winning book of the same name. The art of self-marketing can be a challenge for many individuals, and this presentation will help build a personal brand while achieving a balance between positive self-promotion and egotistical boasting. Beals has given this presentation more than 400 times in 30 states.

Beals serves as executive vice president of NAI NP Dodge Commercial Real Estate Company and co-hosts and produces a business talk show on 1110 KFAB radio in Omaha. He has been featured in Investors Business Daily, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Men’s Health magazine, the New York Times and others. His books include Self Marketing Power: Branding Yourself as a Business of One and Selling Saturdays: Blue Chip Sales Tips from College Football.

“PBL Presents: Hawk Talks” is a recurring series of presentations on various business topics that are held at Northeast throughout the academic year. Northeast’s Career Services is the sponsor for the event.

Phi Beta Lambda focuses on developing leadership, communication and team skills in its members as well as giving members an opportunity to meet and network with other PBL members at the local, state and national levels. PBL places an emphasis on helping students transition to the business world. There are approximately 11,000 PBL members on college campuses across the country.
