NORFOLK - The new baseball program at Northeast Community College has added four additional recruits to its growing roster.

“We added four more quality athletes to our class, and I’m extremely happy with how the roster is shaping up,” said Coach Marcus Clapp.

Three of the new signees hail from Colorado. Damon Jensen, an outfielder and catcher, and Ethan Keller, an outfielder, both play for Delta High School in Delta, CO. Cade Oxford is a left-handed pitcher from Fruita Monument High School in Fruita, CO.

Dylan Wright will also join the Hawks in the fall. He is a right-handed pitcher and outfielder for Model Farms High School in Baulkham Hills, New South Wales, Australia.

The new players will join Blake Radke, Parker, CO, on the Hawks roster.

Northeast will play its home baseball games at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk. The Hawks will play up to 56 games during its inaugural season in Spring 2018 and will also have an informal Fall 2017 season that will allow up to 20 scrimmages.

The new sport will be a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II program. Northeast is also a member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).
