    New opportunity for Northeast graduates to earn bachelor degrees through Bellevue University

    NORFOLK, Neb. - All Northeast Community College graduates who enroll in a Bellevue University bachelor’s degree program from now through June 30, 2021, will benefit from an innovative program that transfers in 60 credits earned in an associate degree and applies the full cost of students’ associate degree tuition toward their Bellevue University tuition.

    Three Northeast students enter drafting program competition’s Top 20

Sophomore architectural drafting students competed in the program’s annual bridge competition, with Joseph Guenther claiming this year’s honor. In fact, his bridge constructed of popsicle sticks and glue entered the record books during the 14th annual event.

    Northeast holds virtual commencement as it celebrates student success

    NORFOLK, Neb. – The Cox Activity Center on the Norfolk campus of Northeast Community College is typically filled to capacity on the third Saturday in May as the institution holds its annual commencement ceremony. However, that wasn’t the case this year.

    Northeast Community College prepares to operate in the months ahead under COVID-19

    NORFOLK, Neb. – In late March, Northeast Community College adopted distance learning delivery of its courses for its faculty and students and allowed many other employees the option to work remotely in anticipation of a possible stay-at-home order as the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Although the order was never issued, the College has been developing a plan to operate with a limited number of employees and students through the summer and is looking at additional measures for the fall semester.

    Northeast graduate celebrates National Nurses Week and Month with Gov. Ricketts

At his daily news conference on Tuesday to update citizens on the COVID-19 fight in the state, he also proclaimed the entire month of May as National Nurses Month in the state.

    Candidates announced for 47th commencement at Northeast

    Private services set for former longtime Northeast board member Harvey

    CREIGHTON, Neb. - A former longtime member of the Northeast Community College of Board of Governors has died. Keith Harvey, Creighton, passed away Friday, May 1, at the Plainview Manor in Plainview. He was 70.

    Northeast in South Sioux City to offer a nurse aide course beginning in May

    SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. – Training the next generation of healthcare professionals has not stopped at Northeast Community College as the world continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. An upcoming course at the College’s extended campus in South Sioux City that will teach the basic skills needed to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the elderly or chronically ill patient of any age in a long-term care facility is evident of that.

    Northeast students weigh in on impact of COVID-19 on their education

    NORFOLK, Neb. – Members of the Student Leadership Association (SLA) at Northeast Community College regularly keep in contact with their peers, but with no students on the Norfolk campus for the remainder of the spring semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they did the next best thing - they have hosted forums through the Zoom video conferencing portal.
