    HASTINGS, NE – An incoming Northeast Community College student has won a statewide competition that features the best student diesel technicians in the state.Jack Compton took first place in the student division of the Nebraska Super Tech, held recently at Central Community College here. Compton, Pierce, won a $500 tool voucher.

Matt McCarthy, criminal justice director/instructor, and Colleen Barnes, criminal justice and sociology instructor, and attended the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) annual conference.

The students competed in the 53rd National Leadership and Skills Conference, sponsored by SkillsUSA, along with hundreds of students and advisors from Nebraska.

  • "Simulation in Motion" truck launches at Northeast event

    NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College was the site of a launch ceremony recently for one of four new trucks designed to train medical technicians in Nebraska’s rural areas. The “Simulation in Motion” truck was unveiled by the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)’s Simulation in Motion-Nebraska (SIM-NE) program at the J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing on the Northeast campus.

  • Hawks women's basketball signs transfer from Wyoming

  • Montana transfer commits to Northeast

Gemma Recasens, who previously played for Miles City Community College in Miles City, Montana, will join the Hawks this fall.
