  • Northeast remembers J. Paul McIntosh

    NORFOLK – J. Paul McIntosh was well-known for his philanthropic efforts to benefit the welfare of others and promoting benevolence for the betterment of the community. The Norfolk businessman and developer, who died Thursday at the age of 92, also used his time and treasure to benefit generations of students at Northeast Community College.

    NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams each have one home game remaining in their regular seasons. Athletic Director Jake Ripple would like to see a large crowd at the games this weekend to cheer on the Hawks. Northeast will host Iowa Western Community College on Saturday, February 18, in the Cox Activities Center on the Norfolk campus.

    WAYNE, NE – Three Northeast Community College students have been awarded nursing scholarships through the Providence Medical Center Foundation in Wayne. Valynn Sukrad, Holly Grosz and Liz Hadcock, all of Wayne, have earned Verlyn Anderson Memorial Scholarships.

    NORFOLK – A Colorado high school prospect has become the first ever recruit to sign with Northeast Community College’s new baseball program. Blake Radke, Parker, CO, is a pitcher for Legend High School.

    NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College golf team has added two Randolph High School students to its Fall 2017 roster. Coach Kurt Pytleski said he has signed Andrew Schnoor and Mason Stubbs, both of Randolph.

    NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College women’s soccer team has added two new signees to its Fall 2017 roster. Chad Miller, Hawks coach, said he has signed Ellie Gess of Papillion-LaVista South High School in Papillion, and Lizzy McCalla of Canon City High School in Canon City, CO.
