"The Recreation program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and strategies for a career in Recreation. Majoring in Recreation will guide you in promoting and developing recreational activities in communities and other publicly funded recreation locations. Graduates will work to cultivate recreation opportunities focusing on the promotion of healthy lifestyles within the community. Students will gain knowledge of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the holistic approach needed for this degree. Upon successful completion of the Associates degree, students will transfer to a four-year institution.
You'll gain basic knowledge about good health, wellness, physical activity, athletic training, recreation, coaching, and athletics. You'll learn by a combination of classroom and hands-on training techniques. We offer a collegiate basketball court, weight room, and cardio machines.
