What Is Cyber Security?

Cyber Security involves all the strategies, tactics, and activities involved in protecting the integrity of technology systems from unauthorized access, attack, and/or damage.

Northeast Cyber Security Center

The Northeast Cyber Security Center is to promote and lead cyber security efforts in the Northeast Nebraska region. We provide information, authority, and resources to interested regional organizations and individuals who have a vested interest in cyber Security.

As part of the National Center of Academic Excellence program (CAE-CD), Northeast Community College has partnered with national leaders in cyber security to grow awareness and education surrounding one of the most demanding industry fields in today’s workforce.

What is the CAE-CD?

The purpose of the National CAE program is to promote higher education in Cyber Defense (CD), prepare a growing number of cybersecurity professionals, and to reduce vulnerabilities in the Nation’s networks.
