Precision Agriculture Implementation: The Right Way for You

For over 30 years, advances in management practices and technology has continued to increase yield potential, resource management, and profitability margins. Compile that with increasing land and input costs, and the advent of environmental issues and regulations, one can appreciate any method that promotes the possibility of increased revenue, better decision making, record keeping, and reporting.

Precision Agriculture has grown over the same period. It reaches into every area of agriculture, row crops, livestock (both confinement and range production), orchards, edible crops, and organics. Growing from “simple” yield and moisture monitoring to variable rate and multi hybrid seeding, variable rate fertility, variable rate irrigation, robotic weeding, spot spraying by weed species, livestock health and vitals monitoring, a myriad of remote sensing options, autonomous vehicles, and sensors and meters to monitor and control virtually any aspect of the operation imaginable.

With all the options available, the question is, how does one implement a Precision Agriculture management practice that is right for the operation? Knowing that there is not a one-size-fits-all solution, it behooves each operator to know the options available and the questions to ask to come to a conclusion that fits both the operator and the operation.
Come join us for training on Precision Agriculture evaluation to learn to determine what management practices are right for you and your operation.

Topics and benefits covered will include:
 What is Precision Agriculture
 The impacts of Precision Agriculture on an operation
 What questions to ask when determining the right match for your operation
 Steps to implement the right plan
 New equipment vs. modifying current equipment

This class will be offered via ITV from Norfolk to the other locations.
