  • Northeast's Helena Acre partnership kicks off planting season

After several rain delays, a team consisting of Helena representatives and Northeast Agriculture faculty and administrators were eager to begin work on the 40A field at Northeast’s College Farm as part of the Helena Acre partnership.

  • Northeast's Digital Cinema and Media students present film projects

    by amandab  5/25/2016 9:36:07 AM --  NORFOLK - Four students enrolled in the Digital Cinema and Media program at Northeast Community College presented their short films at the Norfolk 7 Theatre here recently. Tynan Vetter, Gretna, Drew Dolezal, Morse Bluff, Madison Hill, Kearney, and Josh Ottis, Norfolk, produced short films for the semester long Digital Cinema Capstone class taught by Timothy Miller and Nancy Sutton Smith on the Norfolk campus.

  • Lourdes Central Catholic's Sakinis to play basketball at Northeast

    by amandab  5/24/2016 8:18:01 AM --  NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team has added another recruit to its roster. Julius Sakinis, a 6’9” point guard from Lourdes Central Catholic in Nebraska City, has signed with the Hawks to play this fall.

  • Northeast offices to close to observe Memorial Day holiday

    by amandab  5/24/2016 7:58:16 AM --  NORFOLK - In observance of Memorial Day, Northeast Community College offices in Norfolk, and its extended campuses in O’Neill, South Sioux City and West Point will be closed on Monday, May 30. College offices will re-open Tuesday, May 31, at 8 a.m.

  • Nursing students honored during pinning ceremony

    by jamesc  5/20/2016 8:29:29 AM --  NORFOLK – Sixty-five associate degree nursing and practical nursing students received their nursing pins during a special ceremony recently at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. During the ceremony, the graduating nursing students received their pin from family members or a close friend who has helped them along their journey.

  • Danish college president visits Northeast

She had the opportunity recently to step foot on the Norfolk campus and was duly impressed. “It is so important for us to see Northeast for ourselves. I am very impressed by this College, it is a very well kept college and very nice.”

  • Northeast's Applied Business Projects students raise funds with lemonade stands

As part of their coursework, students in Northeast’s Applied Business Projects course raised funds for a variety of organizations through operating lemonade stands in the storefronts of Norfolk area grocery stores.

  • Northeast Nebraska volleyball all-stars to square off at Northeast

  • Northeast Nebraska All-Star Basketball games set for Northeast Community College in June

Northeast Community College will host the 33rd Annual Northeast Nebraska All-Star Basketball games in the Cox Activities Center on Friday, June 17. The girls’ game will tip-off at 6 p.m. with the boys’ game to follow at 8 p.m.

  • Northeast to hold Disability Services information night

The information night will be held on Tuesday, May 24, at 6 p.m., in the College Welcome Center, Room 1108, on the campus in Norfolk.

  • Poessnecker to step down from Northeast board

  • Northeast earns national recognition for customer service initiative

    by jamesc  5/12/2016 5:26:42 PM --  SAN DIEGO, CA – In 2013, Derek Bierman, vice president, and his staff in the Technology Services Division at Northeast Community College began working on a concept to improve technology-based customer service across the college community. Three years later, the work is being recognized on a national level.
