  • Peekenschneider earns AIR presidential scholarship

    NORFOLK – An institutional research specialist at Northeast Community College has been recognized by the Association for Institutional Research (AIR). Dr. Danielle Peekenschneider has earned a Data and Decisions® Academy Presidential Scholarship from AIR. She completed two courses, Foundations of Data Management and Longitudinal Tracking for Instructional Research, that are covered by the Presidential Scholarship.

  • University of Nebraska Medical Center honors former Northeast dean

    OMAHA - A former Northeast Community College dean has been honored for contributions to her field at a University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) event held here recently. Anita Brenneman, former dean of Northeast’s Health, Science and Drafting division, was one of six individuals honored during the annual UNMC Alumni Reunion in Omaha.

    NORFOLK - A Norfolk woman has been honored for her achievements in the advancement of agriculture. Susan Risinger Green was presented the Award of Merit at the Eighth Annual AG-ceptional Women’s Conference recently at Northeast Community College. She was surprised with the honor by conference organizers.

  • Meis named 2016 AG-ceptional Woman of the Year

    NORFOLK, NE – An Elgin woman has been recognized for her contributions to agriculture. Anne Meis was honored as the AG-ceptional Woman of the Year at the 8th Annual AG-ceptional Women’s Conference Friday at the Lifelong Learning Center at Northeast Community College here.

  • Sehi is 2016 Northeast distinguished alumnus

    KEARNEY, NE – A Norfolk businessman has been recognized by the Nebraska Community College Association (NCCA). John W. Sehi was honored for outstanding career achievement recently with the NCCA’s Northeast Community College Area Distinguished Alumni Award during the organization’s annual meeting here. The award is presented annually to one alumnus from each of the five of the state’s community college areas.

    NORFOLK - Northeast Community College has announced the newest members of its international honor society for fall 2016. Fifty seven members have been named into Northeast’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Tau Chi chapter for the fall semester.

    NORFOLK – Five members of the Northeast Community College volleyball team have earned post regular season honors by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Northeast led the way on the ICCAC All-Region XI-B First Team.

  • Northeast to honor military veterans

    NORFOLK – Northeast Community College is commemorating the efforts and sacrifices of current and past members of the armed forces in November. The College’s Student Veterans Organization (SVO) will sponsor a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m., in the Cox Activities Center Theatre on the Northeast campus here. The program is free and open to the public.

    SAN DIEGO, CA - A Northeast Community College staff member has earned a scholarship to attend a national risk management conference. Mary Meyer, director of risk and business services at Northeast, received the University Risk Management and Insurance Association’s (URMIA) Annual Conference Scholarship award.
