    NORFOLK - A Northeast Community College instructor has published a new textbook on veterinary technology. Joshua M. Schlote, LVT, has co-authored “Diagnostic Imaging for Veterinary Technicians” with Margi Sirois, EdD, MS, RVT, CVT, LAT.

  • University of Nebraska Medical Center honors former Northeast dean

    OMAHA - A former Northeast Community College dean has been honored for contributions to her field at a University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) event held here recently. Anita Brenneman, former dean of Northeast’s Health, Science and Drafting division, was one of six individuals honored during the annual UNMC Alumni Reunion in Omaha.

    NORFOLK - A Norfolk woman has been honored for her achievements in the advancement of agriculture. Susan Risinger Green was presented the Award of Merit at the Eighth Annual AG-ceptional Women’s Conference recently at Northeast Community College. She was surprised with the honor by conference organizers.

  • Holiday concert planned at Northeast

    NORFOLK - The music department at Northeast Community College invites everyone to get in the holiday spirit with a concert to be held in December. The Northeast Community College Holiday Concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Sunday, December 4, at 2 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Norfolk campus.

    KEARNEY - It may be an understatement to say Yolanda Mendez has come a long way. Not only did she emigrate from another country, but in the span of about seven years, she’s learned a new language, gained U.S. citizenship and furthered her education through Northeast Community College.

    NORFOLK - Northeast Community College has announced the newest members of its international honor society for fall 2016. Fifty seven members have been named into Northeast’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), Tau Chi chapter for the fall semester.

  • Northeast to host annual livestock classic, higher numbers expected

    NORFOLK -Northeast Community College will again host its annual Livestock Classic Steer and Heifer Show over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend this year. The show, now in its 32nd year, will be held Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26 at the Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex in Norfolk.

    NORFOLK – The executive vice president of Northeast Community College has announced her resignation from the institution. Mary Honke’s last day will be March 31, 2017.

  • Michael Paradise, former Northeast president, dies

    ABERDEEN, SD – Michael Paradise, who served as president of a predecessor intuition to Northeast Community College, has died. He passed away October 28, after a year-long battle with cancer. Dr. Paradise, of Aberdeen, SD, was 89.

  • Northeast staff member awarded scholarship to attend national conference

    SAN DIEGO, CA - A Northeast Community College staff member has earned a scholarship to attend a national risk management conference. Mary Meyer, director of risk and business services at Northeast, received the University Risk Management and Insurance Association’s (URMIA) Annual Conference Scholarship award.

  • Northeast's Visiting Writers Series wraps up with two additional writers

    NORFOLK - Two writers will read from their works at this semester’s final installment of the Visiting Writers Series event at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. William Trowbridge, Kansas City, MO, and Zach Drees, Wayne, will read from their works on Wednesday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at the Hawks Landing in the Northeast Student Center.
