    Ninety-eight percent of Northeast graduates find employment or continue their education

    NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College graduates continue to find success by either obtaining employment in the workforce or continuing their education. Northeast’s latest Graduate Report confirms that ninety-eight percent of 2017 graduates either found jobs or continued their education.

    Chipps honored with Norfolk Chamber’s highest recognition

    Northeast robotics team qualifies for world championship

Northeast’s “KylEd” robotics team will compete at the 2018 VEXU Robotics World Championship at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY, on April 25-28.

    Nebraska State Patrol honors Miller

    NORFOLK, NE – The Nebraska State Patrol has recognized a Northeast Community College faculty member for outstanding service to the agency. Media Arts Instructor Timothy Miller was presented with the Patrol’s Public Service award for his work with law enforcement.

    Baseball drops two against Iowa Central in conference opener

    Record numbers at 34th Scholastic Contest and Quiz Bowl

    by jamesc  3/22/2018 3:38:45 PM --  NORFOLK, NE – O’Neill High School won the 2018 Class C High School Scholastic Contest hosted by Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Wayne Community Schools was second and Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington placed third. In the Class D contest, Bancroft-Rosalie Schools claimed first-place honors. Creighton Community Schools was second followed by St. Mary’s High School in O’Neill in third.

    Northeast to host 2018 powerline rodeo

    NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College will be the site of an event designed to showcase the skills of utility line (UL) students from across the region. The 2018 College Powerline Rodeo will be held at the Northeast Community College Utility Line Building on Friday, April 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

    Northeast visits Norfolk Veterans Home

    NORFOLK, NE - Jordan Egan (right), Pahrump, NV, plays bingo with members of the Norfolk Veterans Home recently. Egan, a member of the Northeast Community College softball team, joined her teammates and College employees during a lunch/bingo event at the Norfolk Veterans Home, located directly across the street from the College on east Benjamin Avenue.

    Northeast escape room earns national recognition

    by amandab  3/8/2018 10:48:45 AM --  ORLANDO, FL – A campus activity at Northeast Community College has been recognized on the national level. The Night Hawks Escape Room, sponsored by the Student Activities Council (SAC), was presented the 2018 National Event of the Year award from the Association of the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) at the organization’s national conference here. It was one of five awards presented at the conference.

    Northeast students score checkmate with unique chess set

Several very valuable qualities of the mind, useful in the course of human life, are to be acquired or strengthened by it. The words of American Statesman Benjamin Franklin may have been uttered over 200-years ago, but they are just as relevant today to a group of students at Northeast Community College.

    Field trips lead to revisions for Northeast humanities courses

    NORFOLK, NE – Field trips serve as a valuable tool to any student by allowing them to gain a better sense of real world experiences. Two Northeast Community College instructors have done something similar by incorporating what they learned during their own experiences off campus that will not only modify their particular classes, but also student learning outcomes that will last a lifetime.

    Decommissioned wind turbine generator finds new life at Northeast

Grande Prairie Wind Farm, near O’Neill, donated an out of commission, two-mega-watt wind turbine generator to Northeast’s wind energy technology program.
