  • Chapman named ICCAC Player of the Week

    by jamesc  10/25/2016 11:30:37 AM --  NORFOLK – A member of the Northeast Community College women’s soccer team was named recently as Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Player of the Week. Kaylee Chapman, a midfielder from Shawnee, KS, was the key to Northeast’s 5-1 victory against Hawkeye Community College earlier this month. She scored or assisted in all of the Hawks’ five goals.

  • Northeast men's soccer team earns postseason victory

    by jamesc  10/24/2016 5:11:32 PM --  NORFOLK – The Northeast Community College men’s soccer team earned its first postseason victory in the history of the young program by defeating Scott Community College. of Bettendorf, IA, here Monday, 3-1. The game was a first round match in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Region XI Playoffs.

  • Northeast music department plans Pops Concert

    by amandab  10/21/2016 8:52:25 AM --  NORFOLK – The music department at Northeast Community College encourages you to experience music in November as the 2016 concert series continues with a Pops Concert. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Sunday, November 6, at 2 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center Theatre. The Northeast show choir, Singers Express, and the jazz band, the Northeast Jazz Machine, will perform. The Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble will also take the stage.

  • Northeast joins Mopar CAP LOCAL to train next generation of dealership technicians

    by jamesc  10/19/2016 2:35:34 PM --  NORFOLK, NE – Northeast Community College will participate in an initiative to train individuals to earn industry certification to service vehicles in Chrysler auto dealerships. The program, through Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US LLC, is designed to develop a critical stream of highly-trained technicians to work in its U.S. dealerships. Northeast, through its automotive technology program, is one of 42 colleges to be added to FCA’s growing network of certified technical training sites.

  • Poessnecker recognized for his service to Northeast

He was recognized with a plaque at a luncheon Thursday that included members of Northeast’s board of governors and foundation board and others, for his 27-years of service to the College.

  • Omaha slam poets to perform at Northeast

The Omaha Slam Team and the Nebraska Writers Collective will perform on Monday, October 24, at 4 p.m. in the Cox Activities Centre. Poets read or recite original work at poetry slams.

  • Bellevue tops team honors at Nebraska Intercollegiate

    by jamesc  10/10/2016 9:25:21 AM --  NORFOLK - Bellevue University won the Nebraska Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Norfolk Country Club here Friday and Saturday. The Bruins finished with a two-day total of 594, five strokes in front of Midland University. Southeast Community College, the clubhouse leader after day one, finished third with a two-day total of 601.

  • Northeast hosts Nebraska Intercollegiate golf tourney

    by jamesc  10/10/2016 8:52:24 AM --  NORFOLK - Southeast Community College is the clubhouse leader after day one of the Nebraska Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Norfolk Country Club here. Nearly 90 golfers are participating in the two-day meet.
