  • International organization recognizes Northeast at Brazilian conference

    by jamesc  9/30/2016 9:57:39 AM --  VITÓRIA, BRAZIL – Team USA may have captured over 100 medals at the recent Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. However, another American organization earned its own award during a conference recently in the South American nation. Northeast Community College was the only American institution of higher learning to be recognized during the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics’ (WFCP) International Awards of Excellence here.

  • Northeast to dedicate new buildings in Hawks Village

Path Hall accommodates approximately 200 students with on-campus housing, while Hawks Point is a dining facility with a capacity of up to 450 students. Both buildings will be dedicated during a special ceremony on Thursday, October 13th, followed by an open house.

  • Danish faculty visit Northeast

Jøker, along with Aarhus faculty member Henrik Mortensen, visited Northeast recently to educate students about Danish culture, history, economics and other topics.

  • Northeast men's soccer shut out by #4 Iowa Western, 10-0

    by amandab  9/29/2016 8:58:33 AM --  NORFOLK - A slow start for the Northeast Community College men’s soccer team against #4 Iowa Western Community College here yesterday led to a 10-0 loss. Iowa Western scored seven of their ten goals in a hard-fought first half. Northeast regrouped at halftime and managed to build a stronger offensive attack but were unable to net a goal.

  • Northeast women's soccer falls to #7 Iowa Western in OT

    by amandab  9/29/2016 8:56:38 AM --  NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College women’s soccer team took #7 Iowa Western Community College into overtime here yesterday. And although the Hawks dropped the game, 1-0, Coach Chad Miller saw it as a win.

  • Criminal justice students take the plunge in latest training exercise

Approximately 25 students had the opportunity to rappel down the side of the Norfolk Fire Training Facility, located just down the street from the Norfolk campus.

  • Northeast to host MFG Day event

Activities as part of Manufacturing (MFG) Day will be held on Thursday, October 6, in the Applied Technology building on the Northeast campus in Norfolk. Manufacturing program labs at Northeast will be open from 4 to 8 p.m., with college students operating nearly all technologies in the department.

Registration is currently underway for the day-long conference to be held on Friday, November 18, in the Lifelong Learning Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

  • Omaha poet to read at Visiting Writers Series at Northeast
