  • Anderson presented Governor's Award

    by jamesc  11/10/2017 9:05:11 AM --  MCCOOK, NE – A member of the Northeast Community College Board of Governors has earned a distinguished honor from the Nebraska Community College Association (NCCA). Steve Anderson, of Concord, was presented with the NCCA’s 2017 Governor’s Award during the NCCA’s annual meeting recently in McCook. The award is presented annually to one board member from five of the state’s community college areas.

    NORFOLK, NE – A Neligh man has been named the newest member of the Northeast Community College Board of Governors. The board voted unanimously at its monthly meeting Thursday to appoint Delbert Ames as the new District I representative.

    NORFOLK – J. Paul McIntosh was well-known for his philanthropic efforts to benefit the welfare of others and promoting benevolence for the betterment of the community. The Norfolk businessman and developer, who died Thursday at the age of 92, also used his time and treasure to benefit generations of students at Northeast Community College.

He began serving his term at Thursday’s meeting of the board in Norfolk. Nelson, District IV member, succeeds Shirley Petsche, Petersburg, a District I representative.

    KEARNEY, NE – A Norfolk businessman has been recognized by the Nebraska Community College Association (NCCA). John W. Sehi was honored for outstanding career achievement recently with the NCCA’s Northeast Community College Area Distinguished Alumni Award during the organization’s annual meeting here. The award is presented annually to one alumnus from each of the five of the state’s community college areas.
