The venture, on the College Farm on the Norfolk campus, will enhance learning outcomes for both summer and fall classes.

    NORFOLK, NE - Luke Felgate (center), Norfolk, receives a helping hand from John Liewer, wind energy instructor, at the Thingamajig Invention Convention held recently on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk. High school students designed, built and tested a “thingamajig” at the three-day camp, as they developed problem solving skills through hands-on projects and challenges.

  • Northeast student-athletes earn conference academic honors

    AMES, IA – Several members of Northeast Community College’s athletic teams have earned post season academic honors. The twenty-three student-athletes have been named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Spring 2017 All-Region Academic Teams. Northeast is one of 14-members of the ICCAC.

    NORFOLK, NE - Obtaining a college degree is a milestone in anyone’s life, and Northeast Community College offers a process for its former students, whether they hold an advanced degree or have never earned a degree, to earn an associate degree from Northeast. The College encourages students who attended the institution, but left before graduation to attend a four-year college or university, to consider completing an associate degree by transferring credits back to Northeast.

    NORFOLK, NE – The Cox Activities Center at Northeast Community College in Norfolk was filled to capacity on Saturday as family and friends watched as hundreds of graduates received their diplomas during the College’s 44th annual commencement ceremony.

  • Auction to follow open houses of student-built homes at Northeast

    by jamesc  5/12/2017 3:39:46 PM --  NORFOLK, NE - Two student-designed-and-built, new homes will be open to the public for inspection in late May and then sold at public auction in June at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. The open houses are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, May 30 and June 1, from 7-9 p.m., at Northeast Community College. The homes will be auctioned Saturday, June 10, at 10 a.m. at the college.

  • Northeast earns top honors at powerline rodeo

    by jamesc  5/5/2017 3:47:23 PM --  SCOTTSBLUF, NE – Northeast Community College utility line (UL) students dominated an event designed to showcase the skills they have learned in the classroom and lab. Northeast took first place overall in the team competition at the 2017 College Powerline Rodeo, held recently on the Scottsbluff and Alliance campuses of Western Nebraska Community College.
