Northeast to host chamber concert

by jamesc  3/17/2017 10:21:48 AM --  NORFOLK - The Northeast Community College Ebony and Crimson audition ensemble will present a special Chamber Concert on Sunday, March 26.

Under the direction of Dr. Linda Boullion, music department chair and director of choral music activities, the concert is set for 2 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center Theatre on the Norfolk campus. Margaret Schultz is the accompanist.

Some of the selections will include “Weep, O Mine Eyes,” by John Bennet/John Leavitt; “Galop,” by Ken Berg; “Sing to Me,” by Laura Farnell; and “That Ever I Saw,” by Anonymous and arranged by Darmon Meader.

The concert will include ensemble selections as well as solos and duets.

Members of Ebony and Crimson include: Battle Creek, Cody Schnebel; Central City, Brittney Jefferson; Clay Center, Katelynn Piper; Clearwater, Cassidy Steskal; Fremont, Monika Zuch; Grand Island, Garret Johnson; Hartington, Kyle Fischer; Lexington, Rachel Biehl; Mead, Kaylee Carlson; Norfolk, Paige Noble; Pierce, Sam Halsey; Pilger, Amanda Murphy; Plainview, Erika Neumann; Randolph, Adrianne Kruger; and Tilden, Ryan Dusel.

The Chamber Concert is free and open to the public.
